Making a GREAT 1st impressions is what it's all about!!!

You will also demonstrate that they know how to create and use a checklist to prepare yourself for your first day of a new job.  The checklist will include “in case of emergency” and basic human resources information to help them successfully fill-out basic human resources and payroll information.

First Day of Work Checklist 

Welcome! Starting a new job should be an enjoyable event. Use this checklist to make sure you’re fully prepared. Once you’ve checked each box, you’re ready to go!

Bring with you the following documentation and information:

  • Documents that establish both identity and employment eligibility. You must bring acceptable documents as noted on the Employment Eligibility Form (I-9).

  • Bank account information (such as a voided check) to confirm your direct deposit information

Make sure you know the following information before your first day:

  • Address and phone number of your work location

  • Directions/map to your work location

  • Where to park

  • The time and date to report to work, where to check in, and who to contact when you arrive
