Moodle Topic Boxes

Moodle Nuts & Bolts Section 3: Topic Boxes!

In this section, we'll learn how to use Topic Boxes to organize our content and give structure to our course. To do this section

Step 1: Moodle Nuts & Bolts Section 3

Work through the steps in Moodle Nuts & Bolts, Section 3. As you work through Section 3, feel free to experiment with your own Moodle shell/sandbox: Open up the sandbox in a new tab and try things as you learn them.

Step 2: Do the Following Things in Your Sandbox.

Once you feel comfortable with the concepts in Section 3, do the following things to your Moodle Sandbox:
  1. Make your course have fifteen topic boxes.
  2. Make the last five topic boxes inaccessible to students, but have them grayed out, not completely invisible.
  3. Highlight Topic Box 5.
  4. Change your course to a weekly format.
  5. Add a Section Link box to either the right or the left side of the course.
All of these things are covered in the Moodle Nuts & Bolts course, but feel free to get in touch with me if you have questions.

Good luck!

Step 3: Let Me Know

When you've finished the previous step, let me know by clicking on the "Edit My Submission" block down below and posting a quick sentence saying something like, "I'm done with this assignment, please check my sandbox." I'll go in to your course and take a look.

Have fun!
