What is Muscular Strength?
Muscular strength is the ability of the muscle to exert force during an activity. The key to making your muscles stronger is working them against resistance, whether that be from weights or gravity. If you want to gain muscle strength, try exercises such as lifting weights, plyometrics or maybe even rock climbing. What is strength training and why do we need to strength train? The second and third websites listed below are great sites for learning about strength training activities. A great deal of information is available about each exercise as well as a short video clip demonstrating the exercise. The first website includes plyometric activities that can be done with out weight lifting equipment. |
