Resources

Our health and well-being is really made up of four parts. These four pieces include our physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health. Like puzzle pieces, they all fit together to make us who were are. To be truly healthy, we need to maintain and nurture each of these areas. The important thing to remember is all these pieces work together. Ignoring one area can negatively impact the others.

This class is focused primarily on taking care of your physical health. But, since each area effects the other, being in a sport/activity can positively impact your emotional, social, and spiritual health as well.
Being physically active benefits all areas of your health. There are so many benefits to leading an active lifestyle, that it is hard to list them all. But we can start by listing just a few.

10 Reasons to be Physically Active
1. Build self-esteem
2. Build muscle mass
3. Reduce cancer risk
4. Decrease fatigue
5. Control appetite
6. Strengthen bones
7. Improve creativity
8. Reduce anxiety
9. Reduce fat stores
10. Improve quality of sleep
