Moodle Nuts & Bolts Section 1
Moodle Nuts & Bolts Section 1 |
Now that we've gotten an overview of how Moodle works, it's time to start developing skill with Moodle. In this first assignment, you'll learn how to manipulate the side boxes in a Moodle course, which gives you a lot of power and flexibility in structuring a course. Work through the following steps in order to complete this assignment. Step 1: Moodle Nuts & Bolts Section 1 Work through the steps in Moodle Nuts & Bolts, Section 1. Be sure to open the course in a new tab so that you can jump back and forth from this course to Nuts & Bolts. As you work through Section 1, feel free to experiment with your own Moodle shell/sandbox: Open up the sandbox in a new tab and try things as you learn them. |
Step 2: Make Your Sandbox Look Like This |
Don't let the look of this window throw your off. Basically you want to have the Administration block on the left, and have the Section Links, People, and Recent Activity blocks on the right. The "Blocks" block stays there by default when you have editing turned on, but isn't visible to students. Delete any other blocks. |
Step 3: Deactivate Your Sandbox Since your course isn't ready for students, go into the settings and deactivate it. |
Step 4: Let Me Know As always, please contact me if you get stuck, and good luck! |
