PTSD Videos
Dr. Nadine Burke presents a TedMed talk about childhood trauma and its lasting impact. While childhood trauma does not necessarily lead to PTSD, which is a specific medical condition, the video raises awareness on the prevalence of childhood trauma and the correlation of outcomes across a lifetime. Biological response to moments of early childhood adversity both in the immediate and over time presents at 6:55-9:54. Care descriptions follow, but the whole video is worth watching. "Adverse Childhood Experiences are the single greatest, unaddressed public health threat facing our nation today." (11:55)
An interview between doctors sponsored by the Anxiety Disorders Association of British Columbia. A little dry, but the video presents clinical information on PTSD in children and some strategies for a child with PTSD at home.
