Edgewood Self-Regulation Strategies

I use a Hoberman Sphere to help demonstrate what taking in a breath looks like.  The sphere expands as you take a breath in, the sphere deflates as the breath comes out.  I try to use simple language, if you have students who understand inhale and exhale feel free to use those terms.

Talk to the students about feeling the sensation of the breath, the rising of the chest and belling as the breath enters the body, the lowering of the chest and belly as the breath leaves the body.
