Types of Media: It's not the news!

Before we begin...

When you see the term Media in relation to copyright it is not talking about the news or reporters. Media is plural for medium. A medium is something through which something can be published, broadcasted or otherwise displayed.

For example, images, video, print (books, magazines, ebooks), websites, music, etc. It's really the means in which an idea can be shared.

Basically, everytime an original work is created in one of these formats it becomes copyrighted. This copyright gives ownership and rights to the one who created or paid for the work. Now we'll move on to discuss copyright in more detail...What is Copyright?
