Creating a Letter of Recommendation

(1) On a sheet of paper make a written list of 10 positive phrases or words about yourself in which you feel the teacher or someone that knows you would agree. Think about personal characteristics, classroom and on the job attributes (good things about you!).  It could include, attendance, attitude, willingness to go the extra mile, etc.

(2) Now, look over your list and contemplate what you think an employer would think about you, as a person and as an employee after he/she reads a letter with these positive comments?

(3) Now, upon reviewing your list of positive comments, and after refreshing yourself with the template for a recommendation letter - write a reference letter for yourself as if you were the employer.

Once you have typed your letter into a word document or Google Doc., then submit it or a link to it in the assigned area.
