This course is intended for teacher use only. The main purpose is to provide instructors with a suggested scope and sequence of topics. Some resources may be present, however, making a copy of this course provides instructors with the opportunity to create/upload content that match the resources available to the instructor.
Course Description
Develop skills to locate informational resources for accessing the community safely, internet resources, directories, and map reading; learn strategies to be safe and how to protect themselves at home and in the community. (Public Transportation is covered in Public Transportation Class)
Grading
A Pass or No Credit grade is given at the end of each quarter. Grades will be issued on the following criteria: daily assignments, classroom participation, and attendance. Students are expected to complete homework on time and attend class regularly.
Course Goal
Develop skills to locate informational resources for accessing the community safely. Resources include the Internet, white and yellow pages, directories, and map reading; learn strategies to be a safe and how to protect themselves at home and in the community.
