Digital Delivery has two important elements to be aware of in order to maximize learning and minimize confusion.

First off, each section, or "topic box," of this course is divided into as many as four different types of elements, and each of these types focuses on a different element of building an online course. "General" elements deal with overall, course-wide information and concepts. "Design" elements focus on how to organize and structure online courses. "Building" elements deal with the technical skills to build online content. Lastly, "Concepts" elements deal with increasing an understanding of what it means to teach and learn online. You can work through each topic box in any order, but it's a good idea to finish all the elements of each topic box before moving on to the next one.

Second, this Digital Delivery course is actually one a set of four courses you are enrolled in. This course will serve as our home base for the process of learning how to build online courses, but you will access three other courses at various times in the course. First, you have been enrolled in Moodle Overview, which is a brief one-hour introduction to the capabilities of our digital classroom software. Second, you've been enrolled in Moodle Nuts & Bolts, which is a large course designed to teach you how to actually building things in Moodle. Lastly, you've been enrolled as a teacher in a Moodle shell. This shell is an empty Moodle course where you'll be getting practice with the concepts you learn in Moodle Nuts & Bolts.

At times, you'll want to access several of these courses simultaneously. This can be at first a bit confusing, so we've prepared a short video to help explain how to work this system efficiently. Be sure to watch the screen capture video titled "Working with Multiple Moodle Courses Simultaneously."
